The fountain solution serves to keep the area of the plates that do not have printing graphics clean and ink-free. We have a variety of Fountain Solutions (Fogra approved IPA free) which also help to prevent oxidation and other chemicals reactions that may cause harm or damage the plate. The wetting agent in our fountain solution reduces the surface tension of the solution and enables it to flow more easily. Our fountain solutions also contain fungicide which helps to kill any organic growth in the fountain or where else in the dampening system. The anti- foaming agent in our fountain solution reduces the tendency of solution to foam or bubble, which can create distribution problems in press. The Drying stimulator is also present in our fountain solutions which works to enhance the effectiveness of the drier in ink. The purpose of adding drying stimulator is when inks are not drying fast enough then it helps to fast the drying process.
